COMPANY HISTORY |

in 1941, Toyo Tanso Co., Ltd. is known worldwide as an innovator in
the carbon and graphite industry. The company originated as a
manufacturer of electric carbon brushes. Through the years it grew,
always adding new products and processes. Toyo Tanso is recognized as the first Japanese company to
utilize cold isostatic pressing
technology to produce isotropic graphic products. Today the company
operates a global network which provides its customers with a wide
range of high-precision products including
carbon and graphite components that range in size from large furnace
assemblies to miniture mechanical assemblies and mechanical
seals. Toyo Tanso is also a worldwide supplier of graphite for EDM
